Chelsea vs Watford: Soccer Watch Free

Maurizio Sarri’s Chelsea host Watford in the Premier League on Sunday afternoon. The Blues head into the weekend in fourth place, with Arsenal breathing down their necks in fifth, two points behind.  Chelsea missed an opportunity to extend the gap last week at Manchester United, only managing a point – they also drew 1-1 with Eintracht Frankfurt in the Europa League semi-finals on Thursday.

For Javi Gracia’s Watford, they have two more games before the FA Cup Final on May 18, and are in 10th position on 50 points. In December’s reverse fixture, an Eden Hazard double secured three points for Chelsea at Vicarage Road. The match will not be shown live on TV or online in the UK. Independent Sport will keep you up to date with all the goals as they fly in via our live blog. Highlights will be shown at 10:50pm on BBC One. What time does it start? Chelsea vs Watford kicks off at 2:00pm (BST) on Sunday May 5.

A tricky one this for Chelsea – Watford have been one of the surprise outfits in the Premier League this season and as well as a likely top-half finish, Hornets’ fans have an FA Cup final to look forward to in two weeks’ time.

Undoubtedly, this game has huge ramifications in the battle for the top-four – a race no team seems to be able grasp. After a three-game win streak following the international break, Chelsea haven’t won in three league games, missing an opportunity last week against Manchester United and slipping up against Burnley before that.

But Maurizio Sarri’s weekly priorities were evident on Thursday, as Eden Hazard started on the bench in the Europa League. Chelsea’s star man will be raring to go from the start on Sunday, alongside an A-team starting XI. Watford have less to play for despite last week’s defeat, as Javi Gracia’s mind gradually turns towards the Cup final.
